Summary: I stayed at this hotel in december 2017 when i visited mangalore for a wedding. The hotel is well located centrally. The staff are nice and friendly (particular mention is made of Ms Shruti a reception staff). Breakfast was nice and the attached south indian restaurant served good food at very reasonable prices. The only minus was that one reception staff (male) rejected my request for a slightly extended check out time. I understand it could be policy but he could have been more considerate.

Summary: I stayed at this hotel in July 2016. It does not have a great reputation from the past. However, the hotel has been completely refurbished and everything seems brand new. Rooms were spotlessly clean, laminate flooring, high quality tiling in the bathroom. It is an excellent 3 star hotel. It is right in the heart of Mangalore on Falnir Road and central to everything. Disregard the bad reviews - they are probably by people who experienced it before it was refurbished.
