Positive: A converted convent so the bed rooms are not large but the hotel, which was the first in Amalfi, was full of character. The stall were excellent as was the restaurant, good breakfast. Great views from our little balcony all rooms fade the sea

Positive: Wow - not much else to say. The view was sensational, the location was perfect, and the staff were so friendly and hospitable and made our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Francisco (I believe was his name) was wonderful and kind with our 2 year old daughter, and we enjoyed his enthusiasm to serve. The hotel were also kind enough to leave a bottle of bubbly for us in the room to celebrate our mini-moon. The food in Torre Saracena was also fantastic and we would highly recommend. The pool was also great and the pool staff were very hospitable.

Negative: It's quite a walk up the hill from the centre of Amalfi (even if not long), so would recommend one of the taxi-cart services if you have luggage. The hotel did arrange this for us to return to the ferry.

Positive: Fantastic location and our room was incredibly quiet. Breakfast was delightful, staff excellent and the pool and location were superb.

Negative: The room cost a small fortune but it is Amalfi. Furniture is cheap and dated. Mini bar wasn’t free meaning we had to bring water back to the room each night - at over £1,000/night, make the water free - and the parking
