Positive: We were only there for 1 night but the accommodation served its purpose and we slept comfortably and refreshed the next morning for our onward road journey in Portugal.

Negative: we decided to eat in, having arrived late, and the restaurant was about to close just as we walked in, and so we thank them for this, but my spaghetti bolognese could have certainly done without the water which regrettably should have been drained away by the kitchen staff as this washed away all the sauce from the pasta and deflated what I'm sure would have been a very tasteful meal, but otherwise breakfast was generous and plentiful.

Positive: The staff goes out of their way to make you feel welcomed and pampered. The rooms are nice enough and spacious. The restaurant is very good. The location and the view are amazing!

Negative: Felt understaffed, with just a couple of staff running around trying their best to do 10 different things. If there is no one else around, it's OK, but more than one customer at a time and it becomes slow. The bar was a bit of a disappointment, small, lots of tables but only one couch, dark and difficult to find a place with enough light to read a book before dinner. The rooms were nice, but some furniture feels a bit dated.

Summary: Great staff, great location, good restaurant. Almost amazing.

Negative: It was unfortunate that there was a very strong stench coming from the sewage pipe. We were told that this happened because it was an old building. Otherwise, excellent hotel. We had to get out of the room.
