Positive: The hotel was amazing and the staff were lovely. We were very well looked after and nothing was too much. The hotel itself is perfectly situated right next to Monpazier town square. The rooms were a lot bigger than we were expecting and amazing value for money. We loved relaxing by the pool area with a few drinks after a long day of exploring.
Negative: There was very little space to hang wet towels. The hotel is environmentally friendly (which we loved) so the towels are replaced every few days, this meant it was difficult to keep towels and bath mats dry with only 2 hooks.
Summary: Beautiful and friendly hotel in the centre of Monpazier!

Negative: Sink in bathroom. Tap to large for sink . Kettle needed to be plugged in to socket close to the floor . Should have had its own area which was safer and more convenient to make hot drunks .

Positive: We wanted to visit this area because we had seen this area on the TV in UK. Very medieval and beautiful roses everywhere. Free easy street parking near by Free bottle of small water in the room Fridge Tea Coffee facilities Strong water pressure in the shower gorgeous hot water The room had air con that we were able to alter to 16 degrees Location to village square A quiet hotel just off the square so we slept well & the main reason for that was because the whole town slept. Sleepy village location in the middle of nowhere. We didn't opt for breakfast as it was a little bit pricey for our budget.
Negative: The hotel closed up early, including the bar area. We understood it was only day 1 opening at the start of the season so the pool to us didn't look that inviting. Check out was 11 am. So we thought we would go for a walk first thing to see what was open in the town which was very little. On our return we were approached by the hotel receptionist who had already been into our room to say we left bags in there. Which we politely said that's because we have yet checked out & we haven't handed our key in yet. We thought that was something quite unusual we hadn't actually experienced before. Out of season/early season the whole town shuts down around 8pm so remember to factor that in as it's Extremely quiet out of season.

Negative: Wardrobe a bit small. Nowhere to successfully hang towel to dry. Shelving needed to put stuff down near basin. Nowhere to store suitcase.
