Summary: Staff fine and breakfast very good but standard of room poor; and, for what you get, way overpriced for a Saturday night.

Summary: OK base for seeing the D-Day sites. Plan for breakfast anywhere else as it is below average. The use of a young boy to manage the hotel was surprising and a bit concerning.

Summary: I know it’s only a 2 Star hotel. Remember to bring your own soap for washing the only provided one small sachet in our room, there are no pugs in the bath so you can only have a shower in the bath and the push down plug in the small sink is broken so it’s difficult to empty without scrambling about underneath the sink to empty it. The one thing that really upset me was this hotel is just 300meters from Sword Beach where British and commonwealth forces landed on DDay and I sure many people stat at Hotel Canada because of this. there are Union flags all over the area so no excuse to know what it stands for. This hotel has a sign on the door proudly telling visitors they speak French 🇫🇷 English🇮🇸 and Hindi 🇮🇳 I felt quite insulted to see an Icelandic flag against English. I mentioned it they did not seem to care about it and left the sign up. There is plenty of parking available outside the hotel on the side of the road.

Summary: A small local property run by a very nice man. The room and overall property is what you would expect for 2 stars - older, a bit quaint, nothing fancy at all, but clean and comfortable beds. The owner was very helpful and offered good recommendations for food and sites to visit. A five minute walk to the beach (Sword beach) and directly on D-514 (the road to follow to see nearly all the D-Day sites). Between towns, so no easy walk to restaurants, but the hotel offers breakfast. I'd stay here again.
