Summary: We had all meals included on our stay, and both lunch and dinner are three meal courses (with Spanish specialities)! Up in the mountains, where the hotel is located, it is (of course) free parking. The bed was i bit hard, but we could sleep (after the superb food). Wifi in the room is a bit slooow. This was a good stay for an early flight from Malaga.

Summary: We stayed at Hotel La Sierra on the journey through France down to southern Spain. Situated on the southbound side of the main road about half an hour's drive from Malaga it was a useful stopping point for the night. We had a very warm welcome, perhaps improved by me trying out my poor Spanish which I think was appreciated. Monserrat in reception couldn't have done more for us. Previous comments have implied that the accommodation was adequate and the food was limited however we were given a larger room than expected, a heater was on in the room (January) to warm it before our arrival, and we had a great view across the countryside from the front of the building. The bed was comfortable with extra pillows available. We booked half board for ease, as there is not a lot else, other than another hotel, nearby. The evening meal was a typical "menu del dia", including very pleasant first and second course, a small desert and a glass of good wine (and bread rolls) - so not overly special but more than adequate. We ate breakfast in the cafeteria as two coach loads of Asian tourists had been in the restaurant earlier and the helpful receptionist said "the coffee is better in there". The place was buzzing with locals by the time we went for breakfast but the staff made us very welcome - great to see a place popular with locals, you know the standard is OK. More of a Spanish breakfast, so if you want a full English maybe it's not ideal for you. We will definately go back
