Summary: Our room is clean and unique arrangement from the hotels i've booked. The only concern i had was their parking is detached from the hotel ...a little walk and an inconvenient if you have luggages

Summary: We have stayed at La Rose many times. Usually in the carriage house but this time in the main building. We love it here. The historic feel of the building, the antiques and the history all add to the ambiance. The king size bed was comfortable and the neighborhood quiet. I can easily recommend La Rose to all travelers

Summary: La Rose is one of our favorites and always stay when in the Santa Rosa area. I am a Hotels.com VIP and unfortunately was cut off as soon as 11am check out hit. My key did not work and wifi cut off! I could not even get back in to grab my bag without going back to the lobbby. Once it again it is usually a nice stay but this was very frustrating and the only take away I left with.

Summary: The hotel was old and run down. The bed was worn, soft and lumpy. I should have upgraded to the newer rooms. That’s what I would recommend to everyone. The guy at the front desk was nice but when I asked him about restaurants in the area. He had no clue! I ended up going to The Bird and the Bottle. I highly recommend! The restaurant downstairs was good. We had the breakfast before heading out.

Summary: Experience was a little underwhelming but given we weren't really in the room for the majority of the trip I won't hold that against them but if you are one who stays in your room quite a bit during travel expect bare minimum as far as amenities and service goes. Overall Experience was okay, would recommend for travelers who are active during their trips rather than spending time at the hotel.

Summary: The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. Wehad a very nice and pleasant stay

Summary: This was a lovely spot, the staff was super helpful, there was places to eat nearby that were super walkable.

Summary: We stayed at the Carriage House. The grounds are very nice there. Check in was friendly and fine. There was no offer of help with the luggage. Great location in Santa Rosa, very walkable. You get some road noise but not much. Our room was lovely. There is always coffee and bottled water in the hotel proper. We stayed for 5 days and only had housekeeping once. Honestly, the cleaning job was underwhelming. Only one set of towels per person (2) was left. Even though I took out all the decaf they put decaf back and only left one day's worth of real coffee kcups. The toilet and sink did not look thoroughly cleaned. My side of the bed was worn and sloping. The restaurant adjoining the hotel really has no relationship to the hotel so no room service or charging food to your room. However, we hit Grossman's one afternoon wanting something to drink and stumbled into their happy hour and it was a great deal!

Summary: Easy check-in. The staff was friendly and gave us all the necessary info. Very efficient! We really liked the location; nearly everything was within one block. The hotel feels historical, not the latest "in" hotel, but cozy and practical. We only used the elevator for our luggage; otherwise, we enjoyed taking the carpeted stairs to get to our fourth-floor room and get some needed steps in after all the wine tasting. Parking was very convenient, just 50 yards away in a big lot with ample space, even for our 15-seater van. It was $33 extra for two days, but totally worth it. The attached restaurant, Grossman's, was phenomenal for breakfast or lunch. The Reuben and the bread pudding were absolutely fabulous. If we come back, this hotel will be our first choice.
Nathanael Jun 22, 2026 11:18:56 AM
Summary: Excellent room, well appointed. Charming hotel, inside and out. Unfortunately, the single-pane windows allow a lot of noise to come in from the street, and there seems to be a popular bar nearby. Bring earplugs if you plan to stay on the weekend.
