Summary: Stresa is an enchanting enclave on Lago Maggiore. the hotel is modern, very nicely appointed. We had a balcony with table and chairs. Breakfast was fabulous. Staff friendly and helpful. Rooftop pool, bar, and incredible views of the lake and mountains round out what is a fabulous hotel. Oh, did I mention the spa. Everything you need to relax. It's hard to go wrong with any location in Stresa, it's such a small town. Nicely situated on the lake and easy access to the Boromean islands and Verbania, on the opposite side of the lake.

Summary: The dining room was poor. No one smiled!! Non-attentive, had to waive down staff for more of anything. Noises heard through walls. Heating that you couldn’t change made it difficult to sleep. Non intuitive thermostat. Bar staff were exceptional. All in all, a 3 in my book.
