Positive: The hotel itself is super cute and the staff is really friendly, accommodating and helpful. By luck, I was upgraded to a bigger room with a better view and it was excellent. The shower was hot and breakfast was included. Sometimes that's all I need to be happy. :)

Negative: I loved the option to make a little fire and burn some wood in the freestanding wood stove. Alas, due to either the atmospheric conditions or my lack of expertise, some smoke came into the room and I wrestled with that for a moment, trying to get the smoke out. So, just watch out for that.

Positive: The location was really nice overlooking the bay with views over the town as well. There are individually designed units spread out among the property, each one unique and organically crafted. For anyone that appreciates unique design features you will love this lodging. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful for any and all requests. The restaurant served a good combination of vegetarian, vegan and meat dishes as well for adult adults and children. It overlooks the bay..

Positive: This is a lovely property with excellent service, friendly staff and as many reviews note, the best restaurant in town. Breakfast and dinner were excellent. The owner goes out of his way to make sure you enjoy your stay. There are flowers, art pieces and pretty details throughout the property. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.

Negative: As with many places in Copacabana the hills and climbing up stairs take time. Especially at altitude it can be challenging. The rooms at Cupula are built on hillsides so each room has stairs to get to them. The staff carried our bags up and down. We got used to it, and the gorgeous views of the lake and town were worth it!

Positive: Loved the views onto Lake Titicaca. It had a great restaurant attached with excellent coffee and food. Chloe was very helpful helping sort out a flight issue and was super friendly..

Positive: Stunning location with breath-taking views of the Lake and Copacabana Bay. Individually designed rooms with plenty of charm and character. Loved the central heating and cosy bed, spacious with lovely walk-in shower and jacuzzi.

Negative: WiFi was patchy but this is not the fault of the hotel. The data everywhere in Copacabana is patchy.

Positive: The hotel is a one-of-a-kind design on a hillside, with the best rooms offering a spectacular view over Lake Titicaca. The staff were very helpful and the restaurant was terrific: the included breakfast had a choice of fried or scrambled eggs with ham, cheese, bread, fruit, juice and coffee. The dinner menu included various treatments of trout, the universal fish of the area, as well as chicken and meat. There was no restaurant downtown which was better than just staying and eating at the hotel. Daily service with fresh towels was included. The hotel is a short walk to the center of Copacabana, with its basilica and markets, but it's a steep climb back if you go down to the lake shore.

Negative: The less premium rooms looked less impressive, with a view of the garden or the tiny courtyard where everyone was walking past the room windows to the reception and restaurant. One of my companions had a room entered through a trap door at the top of a steep stair, with a smell of sewage coming from the bathroom. Be aware that for all rooms with the best views, you will face a climb up steep paths and steps at a high altitude. The staff will help by carrying your luggage up and down.
