Summary: This was simply one of the best accommodation choices I have made in years! My room was large, bright and clean. The bed was huge and comfortable. There was a balcony with a beautiful view of the coast. The manager was very polite, enthusiastic and friendly. He showed how much he values his guests. I had selected a breakfast option before arriving and had delicious local food brought to my room in the morning. Drinks, pool and onsen are all provided in this hotel. I informed the manager that I will definitely be back and he seemed to be pleased. The village of Usami is lovely and quiet during the week. There are very few shops but the large town of Atami is a short but scenic train journey away (2 trains per hour).

Summary: This is a boutique hotel that is on a steep hill that faces the ocean, our room had a nice view of the ocean. We also ordered breakfast and dinner (no lunch available）and the dinner is quite extensive with many dishes, mostly of high quality. Hotel room is relatively large and mostly well furnished although we did have an issue with a drainage pipe which the hotel fixed quickly. Overall, a nice room with great view and very good food, the price/performance is quite high. The main negative is it located away from even Usami itself and it's very difficult to get taxi if you can't use Japanese to call a taxi. We had problems getting a taxi back to the hotel from Ito as well and literally walked back to the hotel.

Summary: Cute place, amazing views of the ocean directly from our room. Big spacious room. Comfortable bed. Very friendly owners. Walking distance from the Usami train station.

Summary: Easy walk to town but need a taxi to go further into downtown area. Manager was excellent, very attentive and helpful with all we needed. The private onsen was great. We enjoyed our stay.

Summary: A lovely location overlooking the bay. The onsens was a great experience and our stay was made all the more enjoyable by the staff. I assume they are husband and wife, the man could not do enough for us literally running around to fulfil any requests however large or small.

Summary: This was, by far, my favorite hotel of the five I stayed in on my trip to Japan. The proprietor and his family were friendly and accommodating. I had delicious, home cooked meals brought to my room for breakfast and dinner each day. The hotel was beautiful, peaceful, clean and quiet. The rooms were spacious, lovely, clean and had a breathtaking view of the ocean. If you are looking for excitement this is not the place for you. If you just want to relax in peace and quiet, walk on the beach enjoy delicious food and you don’t mind steps (you need to go down some steep steps to get to the beach) this is the perfect place.
