Positive: The property was clean, comfortable and well-designed.

Negative: The room was rather hot in the summer heat. We had booked in the hotel restaurant for dinner, but at dinner time the staff were preparing for a wedding the following day and were making a lot of noise blowing up (and bursting) balloons and testing the music system. We decided to head into town instead, but this was inconvenient at short notice. The venue should have closed the restaurant for the evening. Recommendation: ask if the restaurant will be preparing for an event before making a reservation.

Summary: A great hotel in a beautiful setting, let down by restaurant experience

Positive: Our hotel room was clean and spacious and perfect for our 3 nights stay. The breakfast and evening meals were delicious, and served in a lovely restaurant. The hotel is set in a lovely woodland landscape, close to the town of Oldenzaal and beside some pretty lakes. The staff are some of the loveliest we have met; friendly, welcoming and always happy to help. ☺️

Summary: We had a fabulous stay at Erve Hulsbeek and are looking forward to visiting again next year.
