Positive: Everything! Comfortable room, great beds, nice breakfast, helpful staff, and those hot water bottles in the beds were a treat! After hiking the Inca Trail, the in house massage was devine!
Negative: Really, everything was great. It's a bit of an uphill walk from town, and after 4 days of hiking, uphill was no longer very interesting. ;)
Summary: Casa Encantada lives up to it's name

Positive: Stunning views of Cusco from the upper balcony and terrace. Staff incredibly friendly and helpful. Very nice breakfast in morning and will make you an omelette. Beds comfortable, the staff even provided a hot bottle warmer for your feet in evening for sleep. So adorable and lovely when it chills down in the evening. Allow easy way to store luggage in main lobby area, the hotel is gated and you have to be buzzed into the property. Offer massage services and food options. Excellent walking to markets.
Negative: The rooms were a touch small (nice bed and desk but tight squeeze). It did however have some unique spaces for us to spread out some gear and repack our backpacks. Our room was not immediately ready at check in but ready within one hour of arriving. We had no issues with this as the views and spaces to hang out in were perfect and the views outstanding while catching up on WiFi access. Plus so many places to walk around and explore. Don't recommend large luggage for Cusco in general , esp since the streets get smaller outside hotel.
Summary: Top notch views, comfortable, great location, staff friendly and helpful, good value high quality

Positive: The views were nice. Location was good but a challenge for anyone who can not walk easily. Do not recommend unless agile as it is up high and walking in elevation up and down hill can be challenging for anyone. Breakfast was decent. But a bit crowded at times. The staircase is cool. This place has potential with better owner manager. It needs some TLC
Negative: Photos on line were not at all matching the rooms or facilities. It did not meet expectations at all. The rooms are like 150 sq feet which is small from even European standards and a large coat closet by American standards. The place wasn’t that clean and in need of maintenance and repair. Entrance is drab. Balconies need to be spruced up and furniture outside upstairs is junky and needs replaced. They did change our room after one night was appreciated after complaining of the terrible first floor dungeon feeling closet room. Even after changing room it was better but still small. No where to put clothes or luggage. The pictures are really deceiving. It seems like at one time it was a nice hotel with likely original owners selling it and now neglected with new owners. Definitely over rated. Staff was ok and did best to accommodate is why rating is higher otherwise it would have been lower. I would consider places at bottom of hill and with better up keep. Massages were ok. One therapist seemed very new. It was ok but massage room is nice.
Summary: Photos are deceiving.

Positive: The masseuse ladies were absolutely wonderful. It was the best massage of my life!
Negative: One of the reception staff was a bit slow, and he couldn't communicate very well in English so I had to be a translator a few times. But he's new, so hopefully will learn with the job. It also took a long time to get our four drinks prepared.

Positive: The staff was very attentive and kind. Upon our arrival, our beds were made with a heating pad placed under the blankets for extra warmth - that was an excellent touch! The location of the hotel is great as well - in a quiet neighbourhood and still very close to Plaza de Armas. The breakfast was amazing.
Negative: The hotel offers an airport shuttle, and we made sure to book a pick up from the airport well in advance - it was confirmed by the hotel over email. On the day of our flight I sent them a message saying that our flight might be slightly delayed, but didn’t hear back. We landed in Cusco airport on time and waited 30 minutes for our driver who never came, so we had to take a taxi to the hotel. This situation should have never happened. We landed in Cusco very late at night and we were 3 girls, that’s why it was our priority to make sure that we are booking a safe airport transfer.
Summary: Amazing hotel with the kindest staff. The confirmed airport transfer never showed up.

Positive: Really pretty hotel, the view from the room was beautiful. The gardens were lovely and being able to eat breakfast in the garden was great. The staff were really friendly and we got a bottle of wine in the room on arrival, as our stay here was part of our honeymoon trip, which was a lovely touch.
Negative: Just a few tiny things, the room was quite small which was a bit tricky as we were travelling for 4 months so had a lot of stuff-the beautiful views did make up for this though! Breakfast was nice but there was a limit on how many eggs you could request, no biggie just meant my husband was still a little hungry after. There was a bell you had to ring in order to access the hotel (which was great security wise) but there were quite a few times where nobody answered for a while and we had to wait to get in. Again no biggie. Only tiny things, overall a lovely hotel that I would definitely recommend.
Summary: Super pretty hotel
