Positive: From the outside this looks like an old style German hotel. Which I guess it is. The room was very impressive, no nonsense solid, wood is prominent, warm and dry and clean. Very modern bathroom. Breakfast was fine. Excellent parking.

Positive: Great location, very clean and a great breakfast. The large terrace area is a big bonus with superb views at breakfast. You can order food from the very good restaurant below to eat here or bring your own food and drinks.

Negative: Wifi non existent at times, many of the staff looked disgruntled with virtually no engagement with one being disciplined at breakfast in front of guests, we arrived a day late due to travel issues and didn’t appear to give a damn or even enquire if we were ok, black out blinds needed so we had to use cushions and towels to block the window. Balcony not worth having really as very limited view and chairs too low to be able to see it. Many of these issues mentioned by previous reviewers which they clearly ignored so we saw no point in raising them. We heard it was family run but if it is there’s no sign of the warmth and friendliness we’ve experienced in other family run hotels.

Summary: Great location, very clean, great breakfast but might as well be a chain hotel

Positive: The room was amazing with a spectacular view of Fraueninsel. The breakfast was plentiful and full of options. The bathroom was clean and the shower pressure was refreshing.
