Positive: Hotel Castello is a lovely location very convenient for travelling through the region. Parking is excellent - I was on a motorcycle and had a whole parking bay near reception - seemed very safe. The room was spacious and very clean. Staff were helpful. My morning espresso before setting off was eccelente!

Negative: If you want to see Modena centre then it's a bit of a drive (10-15m) . I valued ease of access for arrival / departure over being in the city hence my choice.

Summary: Beautiful hotel, in excellent location for travelling through.

Positive: Gorgeous, well renovated, authentic hotel! We have booked a room for 3 people, but came as a family of 4. In advance I have asked the hotel staff if it was Ok for them our youngest kid could sleep with us in our double bed? They were positive and let us stay at the hotel. When we arrived, we were quite surprised that the hotel put in extra guest bed for our youngest child, without any charge! Thank you very much for that!

Negative: Outside of town, so you will need a taxi (to get to the hotel), unless you are coming by car.

Positive: Nice place, welcoming staff, delicious breakfast, comfortable bed, clean. Checkout is only at 11am, so you don't have to hurry in the morning.

Negative: Noise isolation between the rooms could be better.
