Summary: Great place, a mile away from town, very walkable. Staff was fine. The only draw back was (I assume was the owner) literally had a meltdown, was screaming at the staff and at one point threw a chair across the room.

Summary: It's hard to describe this hotel is like stepping into the 70s with so much charm. The restaurant was lovely for dinner watching the sunset. Breakfast was ok, a good choice of options. Walk to town was easy down driveway across volcanic rock beach and up a street on otherside, Then was quite flat to get around town centre. Water off the hotel is amazing, and pool warm and lovely. Rooms are definitely older style but space was good. We will be back, loved it with all of its quirks!

Summary: Fantastic location, older hotel but very charming. They need to cleanup the bottom floor/abandoned rooms on the ocean, but it really doesn’t effect the overall experience unless you venture down there. Beautiful views from rooms and hotel grounds.

Summary: Amazing location, but the hotel is way overdue for renovation especially in the common areas. Staff was very helpful, but policies like having to pay 3 euro for a beach towel and every time you wanted it washed are at least strange. We had a nice stay overall. It could have been great if the owners would have made the much needed reinvestments.

Summary: Great rooms, stunning balcony views, really helpful front seats staff. It’s a truly beautiful hotel! The live music on Saturday nights is fun. The pool is beautiful and actually warm enough to swim in. The stairs down to the sea are nice and the swimming is fabulous. The older gentleman who offers shuttle rides to the port is so sweet and helpful. Unfortunately there is a total disconnect with the food and beverage team and the rest of the amazing staff. The breakfast that is included with your room, is supposed to run until 10:30, but you should really plan to be finished by 10:00, because that’s when the staff starts to break everything down and nothing gets refilled throughout the service, unless you ask. Every single day for 5 days, we had to ask for the tea caddy to be stocked and for the hot water to be filled. The regular water was also empty. The person working the breakfast isn’t interested in your experience at all. There are some very nice pastries but they are fairly picked over by 10:00, including the pool attendant collecting a large platter to place on the pool bar for throughly the day. There is not one single vegetable (not one!) and the fruit selection is very minimal, sliced oranges and 1 other rotating item. Most mornings, I just asked for a couple hard boiled eggs and that’s all I ate. After watching this for 4 days, on the 5th day, the breakfast host wouldn’t even give me a hard boiled egg. I did tell him I couldn’t eat anything else, but it didn’t matte

Summary: We had a really good time!!! The hotel is not the latest out of the box, but well maintained and looked after (clean). The service - all staff was very polite and did their best to ensure you have a pleasent stay. The restaurant - well, the food and service was good, I personally would recommend to introduce a slightly more informal style rather than trying for Michelin stars. Drop the bling bling style and focus on your customers as if they are here regularly. Almost like family. Location - it certainly is of walking distance to town centre, it takes a day though to get used to the hilly landscape. But hey, after being in town for dinner it's nice to have a little walk for the food to settle! Walking time: 15-30 minutes (it's an amazing little town with tiny alleys and plenty of little things to investigate. So why run?) I really enjoyed my time there and sure I'll be back for a second visit - to Lipari and also Hotel Carasco!

Summary: This unique setting is wonderful. With direct access to the emerald waters below and a sparkling pool, you won’t find a better setting. The views from the dining room and terraces are stunning. Lovely staff too. I wish I could have stayed longer.
