Positive: The views were spectacular. The food and service was awesome.

Negative: The pool was not open due to repairs and the jacuzzi was part of the spa at a cost which should be advertised. The wind on the patio door was very loud and needs to be sealed better. Kitchen was closed for the daytime meal. No other meal options in the area due to seasonal availability.

Summary: Very nice. I am sure during summer it is great.

Positive: Breathtakingly beautiful location and views. Rooftop wellness terrace provided the most stunning scenery. Clean, comfortable and stylish restaurant areas and bedrooms. Very friendly staff, with a shoutout to the young man who worked at the poolside bar. He was lovely.

Negative: Weddings every day of our stay, which we weren’t told about when we booked. Music and fireworks til midnight. Drones flying outside our bedroom balcony and on one occasion I was in my underwear getting ready and a drone was hovering right outside. We had drunk inconsiderate wedding guests disturbing our sleep and playing music very loudly and shouting and laughing outside our room til about 1-2am. Whilst it’s a stunning location, there was only one (expensive) restaurant to eat in, because the rest of the hotel was allocated to the wedding guests. We were told about this but only after we booked and paid. There was also only one restaurant in the local town, so we had to eat there most nights, and it’s about a 15-20 min walk back uphill to the hotel. Because of the lack of food options due to wedding guests, if we wanted some lunch or an afternoon snack, there was only the poolside bar available, and whilst most days they served hot pizza, on one occasion they had nothing in other than crisps. We booked the rooftop wellness terrace to ourselves (€60) which was lovely, but during our 45 minute slot, there were 2 separate couples who were trying to use it for free during our allocated time slot, and we couldn’t communicate to them because of the language barrier. One couple stayed in the jacuzzi for 5-10 mins into our slot so we had to traipse down 3 flights of stairs to tell someone on reception. By the time she came up, the couple had left, so she wasn’t too pleased with us.
