Summary: We had a great time in Brienz. The hotel room was very clean and nice. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The staff is very helpful. It is easy walkable distance from the station.

Summary: There’s much to be commended about this hotel. It’s a little distance from the train station and most restaurants, but it’s a beautiful spot with a good view of the lake and mountains. The breakfast is incredible. The only real issue we had (apart from fairly high price) was that the staff was pretty rude just about anytime we interacted with them in any way. We ended up just trying not to ask for anything. Otherwise it was a good stay.

Summary: We had an amazing stay at Hotel Brienz. I am so grateful for their excellent customer service. Our train left late due to an accident at the station, and then we missed our following train. We were going to miss the first night of our stay, but they were so sweet and moved it to the end instead. I am so thankful! Also very helpful in ideas of things to do on a rainy day. The room was spacious and the newly remodeled bathroom was wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, thank you!

Summary: The hotel had some lovely, distant views of Lake Brienz and the mountains. The rooms were clean and sufficient. A free continental breakfast was provided during our two day stay, which was average. For anyone considering a stay, just know that the hotel is not directly on the lake. There are some buildings (with construction happening) that obstructed the views of the lake and accessibility to it was not easy. The middle aged female host was humorless and unfriendly, borderline rude. Shopping and restaurants in the area were highly limited. There are other villages on the lake that we wished we had considered for their proximity to Interlaken and other places. It was nothing special and if we could have cancelled, we would have.
