Positive: Quiet, cool, and dark room right behind reception (amazing, right?!) offered a very restful sleep for me and my baby. I loved the colors of the room, better than the pics :) Shower pressure was good and bathroom very clean. Nice breakfast on a peaceful terrace. Helpful and friendly owners and staff. Only 20 minutes from airport against traffic.

Negative: Slippery tiles in bathroom tough with a baby. Very dark in the room when the power went off in the morning. 45min from airport with traffic.

Summary: Excellent place to stay not far from the airport.

Positive: Mixed feelings. Location is very convenient for airport and Grand Bassam, and the backstreets, away from the horrid main road, are full of local Ivorian life. However, it's a bit of a schlep to get through the traffic to Plateau or other northern neighbourhoods. Think carefully about where you want to stay. The breakfast is good, but was very slow one morning (40 mins to arrive) when we needed to leave early. The owners are very communicative and respond quickly to messages - a real positive.

Negative: We stayed twice. Our first 2 bedroom suite was pretty rustic. The electricity kept cutting and there was loud banging from above. The suite wasn't cleaned one day. The second room had malfunctioning AC the first night, although this was fixed for the second. We were asked for, and refused to pay, extra money towards a mattress on the floor - a bit rich given this wasn't previously mentioned (and we were paying nearly $200/night for 2 rooms). I also think the hotel can probably afford to allow credit card payment - other hotels of this ilk permitted it in Abidjan, Bouaké and Korhogo.
