Positive: We enjoyed the location (had a quick look round the nearby church and castle complex - charming!) even though it was further from the station than we expected. We stayed in an en suite room on the top floor; the communal space gave us a bit of extra room to relax and to organise ourselves, which was nice. The view from the windows was great! The host was helpful and flexible around arrival and departure times.

Negative: Not a problem, but some things could affect others... the building has a steep staircase and the pitched ceiling in the top-floor room gave little headroom in some parts of the room.

Summary: A comfy and convenient one-night stop-over

Positive: The hosts were extremely kind, welcoming and helpful, making you feel at home. They provided us with useful advise, their breakfast was excellent and we had lovely chats with them. The view on the surrounding mountains is beautiful.

Positive: The owners were very friendly, welcoming, and genuinely polite — they made us feel right at home with their honesty and kindness. The hotel itself was clean, spacious, and comfortable, creating a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere throughout our stay.

Positive: The owner is wonderful, super kind and worked hard to make sure we had a comfortable stay. The restaurant and rooms have lovely views of the valley. The facilities are all well-kept and work with no problems. It’s also close to bus stops and funicular which both take you where you need in the area, including right to the train station. Overall 10/10

Summary: We were greeted with open arms and taken in and taken good care of, overall fantastic experience.

Positive: We stayed on the top floor. This floor has a shared living area with other rooms that we could relax in, read a book, enjoy the panaramic views, enjoy a beer etc. This was especially appreciated after days in the mountains. Combined with comfortable beds, a spotless shared bathroom and hosts that could not be more welcoming and generous in their hospitality, we would recommend Bellevue to anyone seeking accommodation in the area or a base from which to hit the high mountains.
