Positive: The location is good (i.e. central). The manager is helpful and helped us decide on places to visit and provided valuable information, arranged cabs for sight seeing, airport drop, etc. The hotel staff (especially Ankit) was really helpful.

Negative: The room was quite dirty and despite cleaning one day, I found a dead insect that was already present before the cleaning took place. Hot water is available 24x7, however, you will have to keep the taps open for atleast 5-7 minutes before the hot water comes out. Sometimes the water flow just stops suddenly. The water flow stopped twice, once at night and once when we were getting ready to leave for the airport, which caused slight delay. The keychain attached to the hotel room key was in shambles and kept coming off. We stayed during the time there were sudden flash floods in Leh and the occupancy of the hotel was reduced by more than 50%. Despite low occupancy, we would have to wait for 45 minutes to 1 hour more than the said timings for breakfast. Breakfast options were okay, given the remote location.

Positive: The perfect base in Leh which has the feel of a very well-run family hotel. Beautifully kept and maintained outdoor communal area, and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. All staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and nothing was ever a problem. I can highly recommend Hotel Asia.

Summary: Perfect! I will be coming here again!
