Positive: In September 2025, I have stayed 3 nights in Hotel Ararat in Dogubayazit. Overall, my experience has been very positive. 1) The personnel is extremely friendly and helpful. People here do speak English well. Also online, communication has run very smoothly. Answers were being provided really fast and possible unnecessary misunderstandings were already being avoided beforehand. Cleanliness of the hotel and the rooms is being ensured by the staff in a very decent manner. 2) The location is very good and hugely practical. In the vicinity of the hotel, more than enough eateries and shops are present. The minibus stop for the Ishak Pasha palace is nearby. Within short walking distance, there is the airport bus stop with direct buses to Agri and Igdir airports. A bit further on, but still easily reachable on foot, there is the bus stop for buses to Van. The neighbourhood of the hotel is safe and this holds for the evening hours too. Outside the entrance of the hotel, you look directly onto Mount Ararat. 3) The breakfast is good. There is a sufficient choice of food and locally grown watermelons are delicious. When something runs out, it is being supplemented or replaced quickly. It is nice that breakfast starts early and you can get through a large part of the day on this filling breakfast only. 4) The room was nice. The bed was good and in the bathroom, hot water was always present. During the night, it is quiet. Furthermore, the view (Mount Ararat) from the balcony of the room is fantastic. I am very satisfied with my stay in Hotel Ararat in Dogubayazit. Therefore, I can definitely recommend this hotel to other travellers. Keep up the good work!

Positive: Check in was smooth and the receptionist who welcomed us was really nice and spoke perfect English. The room was clean, tidy and the bed was very comfortable. They let us choose between two different rooms so we could decide which one we liked better. The view on Mount Ararat was amazing. Breakfast was basic but good. No parking available but you can easily park closeby. The common areas were welcoming and really well decorated. Highly recommend this hotel !

Positive: Helpful stuff. Close to amenities. 15 minute walk to the main Otogar . Minibus for Ishak Pasha Palace is next to the park almost opposite the hotel. Many restaurant options within five minute walk. The room was very clean and quiet and the bed was ok.

Positive: The hotel provided reasonably priced accommodation near Mt Ararat.

Negative: The shower had no screen and bathroom was tiny so the shower wet the floor, toilet and sink. Very cheap renovations being done that are not fixing this issue. Room cramped. Balcony had a very low section (every room the same) - probably only just to knee height very dangerous.

Summary: A place to sleep.
