Positive: When we arrived on cold wet day the hotel had already pre heated the rooms for us, so we were off to a good start. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Both at reception and at meals. I will be back in the warmer months for a little get away with the family.

Negative: Arriving at the hotel I asked for lunch, to be told that there was only a fixed menu costing 50 Euros.....so I went elsewhere. Dinner had to be paid for separately and immediately on conclusion of the meal; it could not be included on the hotel invoice ( seems that the restaurant is operated by a separate business to the hotel). In no country throughout the world have I experienced this ( all out as though I was not to be trusted). The room had one window overlooking the valley, but NO curtain ( or rail) whatsoever; fortunately it was winter, but goodness knows what happens in summer
Summary: Would not repeat my booking ; definitely not worthy of its star rating

Positive: Loved how isolated it was. Very hard to get to but worth the journey.
Negative: Nothing really but maybe a little tired in areas like the bathroom. Food was lovely but if you stay + 2 days would be nice to have another simpler menu for lunchtime. Also the food was over salted each night which was a shame.
Summary: A small stop away from life for two days. Just what we needed.
