Positive: Decent location with free parking - very nice pool and garden to the rear - you really want a room with pool view not river as that's over a road and car park btw
Negative: the room was bit small and the extra bit with the second bed was very tight. No a/c which was slight issue given the extreme heat of summer 26
Summary: Good generic hotel in a nice old town - made a good stopover for us

Positive: The breakfast was good with plenty of choice. The pool was delightful as the weather had been hot. There was a lounge with various 'board' type games which were fun to play. A pleasant place to stay.

Positive: Hotel was in lovely location and had good parking. Very clean and receptionist in the morning was friendly. We arrived 10 minutes later than planned and had had the access codes sent to us for entry. Key left on front desk which was ideal. Very organised. Short walk into town. Dog friendly and good price for the dogs. Bed was very comfy. Wifi good.
Negative: TV in room didn't work but not a huge problem. Was also quite cold in morning but we did stay in December and temp outside didn't go above 0 degrees.

Positive: The room was comfortable and clean, although, it could have been a little warmer (personal preference). The whole hotel was clean and reflected a vast improvement from our previous stay in 2024. The staff were very friendly and could not be more accommodating.
Negative: We suggested on our departure that it would be useful to install hooks for heavier (possibly wet) coats on the wall in the rooms as it is impractical to store them in the wardrobe. Not a complaint, purely a suggestion.
Summary: Comfortable, Clean and Accommodating. Looking forward to our next visit.

Positive: Lovely spacious room, very comfortable bed, sofa, proper table and chairs. Balcony over-looking the estuary. Good bathroom with excellent large shower. Breakfast superb with top quality ingredients, savoury and sweet. Staff extremely pleasant and helpful. Hotel well-situated on waterside, easy access to ancient centre around cathedral.
Negative: Very hard to find any fault with this hotel, but I'd have liked a bright light by the table for easy writing and reading.
