Positive: I loved my stay there very much. The host was warm and welcoming and we had many great conversations and she provided plenty of recommendations for hiking in the area which is one of the main reasons I was visiting. Its a very relaxed vibe. I had no problems and it met/exceeded my expectations. I speak spanish and never had a problem with communication but I believe the host can speak english as well. Vilcabamba is an interesting place and has amazing hiking and outdoor adventure in the area. If you are coming I recommend staying here - great value.

Positive: When we arrived to Las Palmas, we were told, that our room there has been given to somebody else - all rooms were occupied and the lady followed us to another hostel, Avalon - where she had made a reservation for us. We had been looking forward to the pool, so we were a little annoyed- but we accepted it for one night.

Positive: This accommodation definitely exceeded my expectations!! It is an oasis in Vilcabamba with a very friendly hostess and two happy dogs and a cat. There is a pool and a kitchen on site and it was quiet and comfortable at night. This is definitely the place to stay when you visit Vilcabamba ☀️
