Positive: Excellent location, pretty balcony, access to coffee and water, felt safe due to the number of locks / codes before entering Hostal Sol y K

Negative: Only had 1 pillow per person - I should have asked for a 2nd one but I kept forgetting. Ideally 2 pillows per person and if that is too many the guest can put spares in the cupboard

Positive: In Gothic Quarter, close to everything pictures a bit deceiving it’s super small and there’s no balcony

Negative: very very small . coffee and tea amenities very ooor for the price. at least buy an nespresso or something. water kettle rotted and falling apart

Positive: Situated deep in the Gothic Quarter, with Barceloneta and long stretches of beaches just a short walk away, Hostal Sol y K is the perfect base to soak up the Catalan Capital. The bed was comfortable, the power points worked, and the shower pressure—a most important factor, in my opinion—was unreal. The lobby is also constantly blasted with cold air, which feels absolutely incredible after an afternoon cooking in the hot, Mediterranean sun.

Negative: If you aren’t suited to walking, just know that the entrance is a stroll from public transport, and ubers/taxis have a hard time getting close. The street itself is a dumping ground for garbage, and the preview pictures do a great job of hiding just how poco the room and balcony are, though this wasn't too much of an issue for us considering how much there is to do nearby.
