Positive: I liked the location, it's necessary to get a room with aircon, the town is extremely hot. For 5000 pesos you can get unlimited water to drink, it's cold, I recommend it.

Positive: Lovely back street (quiet!) hostel, friendly, helpful staff. Very clean. A lovely, calm oasis after the craziness of being dropped off on the main road. Key to own room, extra keys for front door and front gate. A few blocks to the river and main plaza, 20 minute walk from bus drop off. Excellent wifi/internet/network throughout. Numerous and good quality power points. Unlimited access to drinking water for small fee (US $1). Recycling bin for plastic, glass and metal in kitchen. Medium sized kitchen with 2 x 4 gas ring hobs, large fridge, juicer, plenty of pots, pans, crockery and cutlery. Lovely sheltered outdoor dining and relaxing area. Very open throughout. Medium sized bedroom, cabinet for clothes storage and chair. Very hot, good fan provided, but just moves the hot air around.
Negative: No freezer in kitchen. No air-conditioning in rooms (really needs it). No bedside tables nor lamps, nor bin in bedroom. Needs hooks. No hooks for towels in bathroom

Positive: The staff was very nice and the room was spacious. The AC was great! Very secure, a key for the carport door, then a key for the main entrance and finally a room key. Close to the action, but quiet.
Negative: My phone collapsed so make sure you have a map because it is on an alcove off Calle 20, making it difficult for even a taxi driver to find.
Summary: GO TO MOMPOX, I picked a perfect time to go because the town was lit up for Christmas

Positive: Really great location, super friendly staff! Room was very comfortable and the vibes overall were really good.
Negative: Mompóx is VERY hot. I think the place could offer some rooms with airconditioning.
