Positive: Very well stocked, especially in the kitchen. Good size bedrooms, nicely furnished. Beautiful views. Good outdoor space. Plenty of information from the hosts.

Negative: Could do with a bit more TLC, inside and out. There were cups et cetera in the kitchen that we had to clean again and there were lots of long established cobwebs . We went in the summer and the Aga has to stay on in the kitchen so it makes that room very hot. Be aware that is not near any facilities so you will have to drive. We knew this and it wasn’t a problem for us. No Internet in the downstairs bedroom. These are small things as in general we were very pleased, but a bit more attention would give this an exceptional score.

Positive: Very nice well furnished house and very nice features to the barn, plenty of space and very comfortable. Lovely views of the area Nice big dining area and also seating outside to enjoy the weather/garden

Negative: No shampoo or conditioner in bathrooms. Didn't seem to be very well cleaned the fridge was dirty when we arrived but we manage to wipe it down easily but should have been checked by cleaners really. Quite a lot of rules to be adhered to with cleaning the morning of check out which I felt should be included in the price (stripping beds, emptying dishwasher which felt unrealistic with a 10am checkout) Checkout would be better at 11am otherwise it feels a rush to get all the cleaning done. Windows has not been cleaned in ages they were dusty and full of cobwebs which spoilt our view from the bedroom None of these were a huge problem but could have seen some improvements

Positive: The property was clean and attractive and generally well appointed.

Negative: The sofas in the sitting room were very, very uncomfortable. We found it impossible to spend time in the sitting room because of the sofas. A major problem that visitors coming from overseas experience is the lack of drying facilities in properties. We need to wash our clothes, but we also need to dry them.

Summary: Regardless of the inconveniences mentioned above, we enjoyed our stay very much.

Positive: The property is in a lovely location for a break in the country side. Lots of lovely things nearby to do and explore! The beds were comfortable and nice linen. The property is lovely and spacious.

Negative: The property felt a little sad and unkept. There were some issues with the dishwasher where the door is broken (but still useable - just), we found the kettle was full of gunk, one of the casserole pans in the cupboard had mould growing in it. There was a smell of dog throughout the place. The sofas aren't as pictured. This left us feeling like the place was in need of more attention in terms of maintenance and a good deep clean.

Positive: Cottage was lovely and cosy with the Aga and wood burner. all three bedrooms had large beds with great bed linen. Views from the windows were fab.

Negative: No one's fault but the cottage was remote with narrow winding roads - just be prepared for that. Due to location of cottage and potential problems with taxis we decided to stay in on both evenings.

Summary: Very enjoyable stay, fabulous walks in the Wye Valley
