Positive: The accommodation was good and as presented in the marketing photos with good quality linen, sheets and towels and good general facilities. The garden was well kept and nice to enjoy the Summer weather. The Wi-Fi was good and access to Sky TV a benefit. The location was good to use as a base with easy road links into the country and to the coast with the Metro being in walking distance to take advantage of good regular travel into Newcastle and beyond. There were several local pubs/ restaurants within walking distance. Supermarkets were nearby. A good base.

Negative: Whilst we chose not to eat in, the kitchen equipment and crockery was disappointing. The Airfryer was disgustingly dirty and had the residue of food left in it. The oven equipment was not adequately cleaned with 2 items so bad that in our opinion need to be replaced. The bottom of the bread bin looked as if someone had tried to cook in it and certainly as a minimum needed a good clean. With Crockery, there only seemed to be a provision for 4 people which for us wasn’t a problem, however with 3 double bedrooms perhaps a provision for 6 people should be the case. There were only 4 mugs with only 3 matching and 6 saucers but no cups. We had several other observations which we raised with Host and Stay straight after we had departed and quickly received an acknowledgment that they would review our observations, however after several follow ups we are still to get a satisfactory response. All of our observations had accompanying photos to support our observations. A great shame as the accommodation was good but let down by some of the kitchen equipment and its cleanliness.

Summary: A very good stay but the edge taken off it by the Kitchen equipment.

Positive: When you do get the key it's easy to access.

Negative: The property itself is lovely BUT it is NOT located where advertised. I was travelling via public transport to visit a sick relative. Discovering the actual property address is 11 minutes further from town than advertised with now easy bus connections to the hospital was infuriating. The correct postcode for the property is NE27 0EP The property manager Host & Stay charge and additional fee (by insisting that you purchase an insurance) prior to giving you access to the property. Given that there is an exhorbinate cleaning fee and booking fee applied by the property it's disappointing to say the least!

Positive: House was lovely I cannot fault it

Negative: The location was a further 4miles from the location I was given. Turned up at an address given and it was someone's actual home! Resulted in extremely expensive taxis to and from Newcastle. Hosts were well no help at all didn't really seem to care offered a discount of future booking, what good that is I don't know!! Then just ignored my emails from then on. Lovely place just a shame the address was incorrect and bloody miles away from Newcastle!! 30quid in taxis each way.

Summary: Sent the wrong location of the priperty, hosts less than helpful!

Positive: We enjoyed staying at this accommodation and would happily stay again. Very spacious and comfortable. The beds were very cosy also.

Negative: The only downside to this accommodation was that there was no heating and due to the time of year we were very cold during our stay.

Positive: The property was very comfortable and clean.

Negative: The dishwasher would not close after we opened it so were unable to use it during our stay,. The property had an incorrect postcode on the booking site which made us think we were closer to the city centre than we actually were. It would have been handy to know that the Metro into Newcastle was a 10 min walk away. Instead we took our car and it was very difficult driving in Newcastle city with all the road changes and lack of car parks.
