Positive: Felt at home and relaxed from the minute we arrived. Really beautifully appointed cottage. A lot of attention to detail and full of character appropriate to the age of the cottage and location. The kitchen was very well equipped. We enjoyed both sitting out areas which had some pretty flowers and plants in the borders. Cottage overlooked the village green and was very peaceful. We enjoyed spending time in the conservatory/sun room where we had our meals. Suggestions for outings and walks were given. The cottage was well located for many trips out in the Cotswolds. We did a really beautiful walk from the cottage where the views were beautiful and as an added bonus we found/picked some blackberries. The location was very peaceful. We especially enjoyed visiting the Whichford Pottery (also for coffee) which was only a 5 minute walk away.

Negative: The village (as do many) lacked amenities such as a shop and the pub was being renovated. This is the downside though of being in the countryside, difficult to have peace and convenience... So you just have to plan for that. The shower had poor pressure and the bed was a little too firm. But these were just little niggles, and did not impact the overall enjoyment of our holiday. We would definitely return and recommend the cottage to friends.

Positive: Location was stunning. Gardens were well kept. Decorating was stylish.

Negative: The stairs were actually dangerous. Unless you wore proper shoes, the landing and top stair in particular were sloped downwards. Extremely dangerous, especially at night when wearing when wearing proper shoes was not practical. 2x ring hob was not great. There was NO information in the cottage regarding bins. We didn’t even discover the food waste bin until the morning we left. Consequently, none of our rubbish was appropriately sorted. There were no instructions that we could find to explain the tv use. 2x Sun loungers would have been nice.

Positive: Loved the cottage and location. Absolutely all the little things were thought of .

Negative: Shower was really difficult to get to good temperature and pressure was poor . The beds were not comfortable, had backache continuously.

Summary: Absolutely lovely cottage, but unfortunately main things were lacking in comfort.
