Positive: Quality accommodation, quiet, great instructions book, welcome card posted to us personally at the address, beautiful landscaped garden, garden studio for private time, quality appliances, wood burner in kitchen as well as lounge with free wood supplied.

Negative: The drive is tight, but after some practice going in nose first and reversing out, it works just fine. A very small matter.

Summary: a lovely quiet retreat in a quality cottage with everything supplied that you could need

Positive: quiet peaceful area. enclosed garden which is ideal for the dogs. garden a bit over grown in areas needed bit of maintenance doing but very nice. Parking area was a bit of an issue as was not explained corrcectly on booking .com. very narrow. not ideal for big or estate cars. but ok fot 2 small cars. private row of about 4 coattages which leads to lovely woodland walks for the dogs.

Negative: To many rules to follow for dog friendly cottage my dog are family not pets, how can you stop a dog peeing on grass, seriously, some facilities could do with renewing for H/S ,microwave was rusted inside and sparked when used so left note for caretaker, is an insurance issue have photos if like to see. Kettle didnt work so had to use spare one on the first night, hoover spat out more dirt than it sucked up , could do with investing in new decent one. with the amount of money they charge per stay these items could be invested in easily. HONEST REVIEW. Was a strange stain in main bathroom carpet when we arrived i cleaned this myself as i found it annoying my OCD, came out not sure what it was but it came out easily with hot water and vineger. To many rules for the dogs, how can you stop a dog peeing on the grass if its suppose to be a dog friendly cottage.

Summary: parking ok once u in, microwave fire hazard, over priced for 2 days stay, peacful area, pleasant.

Positive: we absolutely loved Hope cottage, it has everything you need, is spotlessly clean, characterful and tastefully done. will definitely be staying again.

Negative: parking is very tight, but managed fine even with very large four wheel drive, just took a lot of manoeuvring, got it down to a fine art by the end.
