Positive: The rooms are very well built and maintained. There is a great view of the lake, and it has a really nice bathroom. Beds are very comfy.

Summary: This was my second stay at the lodge. I returned because it exceeded my expectations the first time.

Positive: The logde is newly built and have a pool with a nice garden. The room was clean and well equipped and the restaurant (Ibis) had great staff and good food with reasonable prices. We booked a half-day safari to the desert through the owner and he was very helpful during the whole stay.

Positive: This beautiful character property is set in a gorgeous town with pottery shops and donkeys and all the rustic charm you would expect. Day trips to the desert for sand boarding and dune safari’s are easy to arrange from here. The food at the attached Ibis cookery school restaurant was the best we experienced in Egypt, oh did. Mention breakfast unbelievably good! The honey I don’t think i can describe it to do it justice! A truly magical and relaxing spot. The host was extremely helpful and made us a lovely fire to sit out by in the evening. I must also mention the bed was European design and VERY comfy!

Positive: Hoopoe Lodge was a great facility. I stayed in a suite with my husband and we were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and excellent condition of the furniture. There was even a kitchenette :)) The terrace is magnificent with a serene and a beautiful view of the Qarun Lake. The air was so fresh and clean. It is a perfect spot for recharging one's energy away from the din of the city! The hotel staff are also very responsive via Whatsapp.

Negative: It would have been nice if the facility provided access to Wifi. Also, it was a little bit cold at night, we could have used some heating.

Summary: Hoopoe Lodge is wonderful!
