Built in the early 1850's Honey Field combines the best of French country style with the earthy sophistication of Mediterranean living.
The cottage is located just 8 minutes from Robe and a short drive to the entrance to magnificent Long Beach. Honeyfield is surrounded by the beauty of the Mount Benson wine region and a garden that is filled with sweet smelling lavender and the scent of fragrant herbs.
Constructed of hand hewed limestone and original timbers it has been designed in the style of a traditional French salle. Fully self contained it retains the spirit of the past whilst capturing the colour, texture and light of today's vibrant lifestyle.
Wifi - There is no wifi, however many of the local cafes and public library offer free internet access if required during your stay.
Pets - We accept pets at this property but they are to be kept strictly outside. If there are any signs of pets being inside cleaning fees and if there is any damage will be added onto your stay accordingly. Pets also come at a $25 fee per pet and we will need to request this fee from you.
Please note the yard is not completely secured and shared with another property so we would recommend restraining your dog.
What to Bring – Our properties are fully self-contained and we supply a starter pack consisting of dish liquid sachets, laundry powder sachets, dish tablets, dish cloth, bin liners, milk, coffee, tea, sugar, bathroom amenities and a roll of toilet paper per toilet. Please note the complementary pack is to get you started for your holiday and through your first night. We only provide bathroom linen for the amount of guests in your booking. We recommend you to bring your own beach towels as we do not provide these. Strictly no bathroom linen to be used for the beach.

This includes damage to screens, paint work, carpets, furniture, gardens etc. Additional time that is spent cleaning up after animals will be charged to you.

Summary: The cottage was quirky, cozy and clean. Basic facilities but quiet. The property in general needs a good tidy up excessive rubbish at the front gate is not appealing. The property is a fire hazard with dead cypress limbs hanging from trees over the building.

Summary: Beautiful cozy cottage, perfect for the cold weather. 10 minute drive from robe but feels really close still. Only problem to report was a lack of mobile data but to be honest, that’s probably because we’re with vodafone!

Summary: A great private hideaway, good distance from Robe & beach, the atmosphere was very warm and inviting. Had a slight issue with flies, we'd come in in the evening to find a lot of flies, despite doors and windows being shut. Flyspray would've helped! Overall we'd definitely recommend Honeyfield to our friends.

Summary: The cottage was exactly as pictured, so sweet. It is very close to the Honeyfield House but we didn’t hear any noise from the guests there. If we had to nitpick, the cute little window shutters would bang when open so a way to secure those better would be good, we kept them closed because of it which was a shame. Apart from that, we would 100% stay here again, was a great little romantic get away!

Summary: The property was beautiful and was accurate to what was advertised online and my dog was very happy snoozing all night by the fire but I am very unhappy with the lack/no communication between stayz and the property owner. I booked 3 nights, Wednesday to Saturday paid in full and called when we arrived for access but told by the property owner we were in their books. They confirmed they could see it in stayz but not their own system and then told that someone is booked in from friday so we either need to change properties or only stay for 2 nights! We had booked this early August and although was refunded the 1 night no further compensation was offered. We did not have the time to do everything we wanted and planned over the 4 days there. We are very unhappy that stayz and the property owner just seemed to blame each other for their mistake. The cottage was not cleaned when we arrived (as they weren't expecting us) and were quick to sort that out but will no longer book through stayz and only directly with a property or competitors! Very disappointed as that was our one trip away for the year.
