Positive: We liked that the property makes you feel at home and at peace to enjoy your stay. The design of the home is modern and it has everything you may need.
Negative: The property is very deep in the woods which made it a bit difficult to arrive to the location. We do recommend driving during the day to arrive to the location before nighttime. It can be a bit scary driving at night.
Summary: Overall, it was an enjoyable and peaceful stay at this property.

Positive: The house is wonderful, open plan, comfortable, modern and clean. As we are touring the laundry was a welcome facility. The house is well equipped with a good fridge, cooker and plenty of cooking utensils. The rooms are spacious with two bathrooms which were very nice. Good hot showers. Beds were comfortable. The house has outside space with a nice BBQ and veranda. We enjoyed a BBQ when we arrived. The local grocery store was only a few miles away. The whole house is very spacious and more than enough for a party of four adults. We would stay here again if we visited the area. Yosemite is only around 1 hour away with Bass Lakes about 8 miles.
Negative: One of the window panels were broken and looked like it had been that way for a while. Also, there was a hole in the sofa. We had trouble with the dishwasher and had to wash up by hand as it didn't always work properly . I reported it so hopefully it was fixed. Why do these self-catering accommodations provide a nice coffee machine but no coffee or pods? Would have been nice to leave coffee for travellers. These are only small things, generally we had a pleasant stay.

Positive: I liked the easy check in/check out process. We felt welcomed as the host contacted us and provided drinking water. The location was a deeper into the woods than we expected, but it was a very pretty street. The neighborhood is super doggy friendly, neighbor dogs will come up to you. The house was very clean and the kitchen was nice with all the amenities needed for a Thanksgiving feast.
Negative: When we sad down at the table my husband almost fell down to the floor because there were screws loose in one of the chairs. Luckily there was an extra chair to swap out. I hurt myself at one point sitting on the sofa in the living because the cushion was flat to where my bottle bumped the wood bord. I placed one of blankets under me for padding that added cushioning. The first night we were freezing, but eventually we figured out how to work the heat.
Summary: A Thanksgiving in the woods at Bass Lake
