Positive: Location is good. It is a short walk from the train station. Literally just cross the traffic junction after exiting the railway station. We also walked to Starbucks, McDonalds and the stretch of food shops along Jalan Taiping. Rooms are big. Lots of space to open luggage for packing. Two bathrooms greatly appreciated but one of the bathrooms does not have water heater. But Kuala Kangsar is very hot and sunny so the water is hot when you shower during daytime. Pretty good sunset views at the McDonalds junction.

Negative: Need to spray lots of mosquito repellents or bring something which deters mosquitoes. Host did provide a spray which we were not aware until much later. Not suitable for light sleepers as lights will flash in and noisy when big trucks / lorries passed by. Or just bring eye masks and ear plugs. We don't always go out together at the same time. If one of us goes out to run errands, the person who goes out can't lock the door using the padlock outside and has to rely on people who stay behind to open the door latch (can only latch from inside) when back. We sometimes have to wait a while as my mom and aunt prefers to sit and chitchat in the dining room and can't hear our knocking.
