Positive: The hosts are a rare type of people; incredibly helpful and couldn’t do enough for me. I had broken down on my motorcycle and their accommodation was the closest to me, so I nursed my motorcycle a few miles there. They were welcoming, allowed recovery of my vehicle, and even offered to drive me to the closest town so I could get something to eat, more hosts like this, please. The accommodation itself was warm, exceptionally clean and has a beautiful view over Exmoor’s stunning landscape — exactly what I needed after hours of waiting for the RAC!

Positive: The views were stunning and there was everything we needed, hosts were friendly and helpful. It was clean and tidy, and decorated nicely.

Negative: Personally the mattress was too soft for us as used too very firm for back pain problems, but managed for a night. The T.v. was difficult to use, even using the step by step instructions

The hosts make their own sourdough bread and you get that with a selection of other breads and breakfast foods as well as butter, jams, milk and fruit juice in the fridge. The sourdough is outstanding and Sian was more than happy to give me some starter and recipe. Cheers Sian. Both Sian and Bryan are absolutely delightful and give a huge amount of thought into making you feel comfortable, looked after and welcome, while respecting your privacy. I absolutely adored it there and want to go back for a week of solitude and rejuvenation!! Beautiful place. Thank you Sian and Bryan, look forward to seeing you some time next year xxx

Negative: We were going to a funeral and there is no full length mirror just to check we look ok, I mentioned this to the hosts and they are sorting it. So not really a bad thing. There is currently no wifi, which I was aware of. Again not necessarily a bad thing, especially if you want to switch off. They are looking into getting something sorted though so all good.

The little finishing touches made it extra special and the homemade sourdough bread was delicious.We would recommend the breakfast with so much choice.We have never felt so relaxed and it's a perfect place to unwind.The views of the open countryside are so beautiful.Holly Cottage is a credit to Sian and Bryan
