Positive: Location…

Negative: Outside pool area for eating was in bad shape and had safety concerns. Chairs had broken legs and were just left there unidentified? Should have been removed! Management told us you couldn’t eat there (ordered pizza for grandkids). But there is a bbq grill there for guests? He later agreed that didn’t make sense and allowed us to eat there. There was a styrofoam cooler that had been left out there with beers and soda (more than a day or two). Grandkids brought it to our attention…not good. Trash cans full throughout pool area inside and outside…and pool area is really not used very much…

Summary: Room was nice…staff was nice. Location is great.

Negative: I didn’t get the room that was advertised. I was supposed to have a private entrance and was advertised to have more space which it did not have.

Positive: We fly in and out of Detroit Metro Airport a few times every year to visit family. In the past, we would stay in Romulus the night before our departure flight. But the hotels in Romulus charge for parking, while the hotels in Belleville do not. This made our visit more efficient when checking out and the drive to the airport and rental car return easy. In the future, we will continue to stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Belleville.

Negative: It would be nice to have a "grab and go" breakfast option for those needing to leave before 6:00 am, for early flights.

Positive: It was a great surprise when we arrived. Nice, open, clean, great reception. Room very comfortable, clean and roomy. Parking. Mini-market, good coffee. Restaurants around it to choose. Very convenient to go to the airport without hassle.
