Vacation in architectural monument combines heritage conservation and tourism. Historically valuable buildings are taken over, gently renovated and rented out as holiday flats. The model provides a double benefit: the monuments are given a new future and the holiday guests experience a stay in an exceptional building. The idea is being realised by the foundation Vacation in architectural monument (FiB), which was founded in 2005 by the Swiss Heritage Society.
Car park: Two uncovered parking spaces are located directly next to the house. Access to the house is guaranteed.
Public transport: In winter, the Zurich S-Bahn takes you directly to Unterterzen, from where you can reach Oberterzen within five minutes by cable car. During the summer months you have to change trains once in Ziegelbrücke. The house is almost directly next to the cable car station in Oberterzen.
Please note: The Flumserberg mountain railways carry out an overhaul every spring and autumn. During the revision, the cable cars do not run or do not run regularly. Please inform yourself on the homepage of the Flumserberg mountain railways or by telephone 081/720 15 15.

On the 3rd floor there is a large room with a double bed and two single beds fitted into the sloping roof, plus a shower and separate WC. A staircase leads up from the anteroom to the beautiful roof terrace.

Garden: The house does not have its own garden, but there is a beautiful roof terrace.
WLAN: Is available. In the living room you will find a complete home cinema equipment.
Open: The house can be rented all year round.
Pets: Pets allowed on request.

The Schindelhaus is a listed building that has been renovated with great respect for the existing fabric. The tenant is aware of this and treats the property with care. Although the technical equipment is up-to-date, certain functional details do not meet current standards and are a potential source of danger. The tenant is aware of these circumstances.
