Positive: Loved the location, loved the views. Seeing deer in the garden was fantastic. Facilities were great. Beautifully chilled holiday. Couldn't have asked for more.

Negative: Dodgy dishwasher! Didn't spot Nessy but thought we did several times! Everything else was perfect!

Positive: The location is amazing! The views are incredible, and it is perfect for a weekend away from it all! The cottage itself was very well equipped, lovely log burner, and central heating. Bathrooms were modern, clean and well maintained. The cottage itself was nice clean and looked newly decorated.

Negative: DO NOT ATTEMPT TO FIND THIS PROPERTY IN THE DARK!! Long story but we had to try and find the property in the evening, and it was quite a scary experience. The cottage is in a very rural location, up a bumpy, single track which turns into wheel ruts in a track at some points. There is almost no signage on the way up, blind summits on the road and tight steep bends. We didn't find it on the first night as we felt the road was too dangerous to continue in the dark. Once we found it the following day in the daylight and we knew where we're were going it wasn't too bad, but still not a road to be travelling at night!

Positive: The house was a good size for our group of 6 adults and had everything we needed for preparing meals and relaxing after long days of sightseeing. Everything was clean and the view was amazing!

Negative: There were several reasons why I would not recommend this property, especially for families with children. Despite the good size and spectacular view of Loch Ness, the journey to the house was treacherous! I would not recommend attempting to reach this property, if you can find it, in anything other than 4-wheel drive, and no one should attempt to find it after dark! To find the house we were given actual gps coordinates, since we were told that it can be difficult to find with google maps. Even with coordinates, we continually questioned whether we were going the right direction. THERE ARE NO SIGNS! The written directions helped to a point, but then we were still left to question where we were going. It is a long way from the main road, takes you through a gate that makes you think you are trespassing, then leads you onto unpaved, rough muddy roads where you end up at a house in the woods that we knew was not the right house. There was a muddy dirt road in front of us at a precarious 45-degree angle, which terrified us in our rental cars. We had to walk ahead to see if the house we wanted was indeed at the end of this road. We did not feel safe driving our cars back there, and once we reached the house we questioned how we would possibly make it back up the roads in the morning, especially with the rain in the forecast. The house was run-down on the outside, the deck had seen better days, and the parking (in the grass) left us wondering how we could turn around without tumbling down the very steep hillside into Loch Ness. This is no place for younger children! There is a big old shed off the deck that is sketchy looking as well. The view was one of the best, so if you like rustic living, with no wifi and no cell phone signal except from one of the upstairs bedrooms and a rock outside, this house is for you. Have an emergency? Good luck calling and then directing emergency services to find you.
