Positive: At first, I was honestly a bit skeptical when I saw all the excellent reviews. I thought, “There’s no way this place can be THAT good.” Since we were traveling with two small children, I initially looked for accommodations closer to the city center. In the end, however, we chose this apartment—and I’m very glad we did. We arrived late at night at Naples airport, and from early in the morning, Suzi had already been sending us detailed instructions. She is almost annoyingly kind and helpful! When we arrived, she was there waiting for us. Finding the apartment was incredibly easy—actually, with all the information she sent us, it would have been difficult to get lost. Face-to-face communication in English was sometimes a bit challenging, but after spending three days in Naples, I realized that many locals are not very comfortable speaking English either. Despite that, we always managed to understand each other perfectly. After our late arrival, we were starving, and Suzi recommended a nearby pizzeria that was about to close. Thanks to her, we managed to catch it just in time and enjoy our very first authentic Neapolitan pizza. What an incredible taste! From what I could tell, the apartment is located right on the edge between the historic center and the outskirts. During the following days, we also tried several other restaurants and cafés recommended by Suzi, and every single recommendation turned out to be excellent. The neighborhood may look a little rough at first glance—and it does have that reputation—but I never felt unsafe, not even for a moment. On the contrary, this area offers something special: the beautiful chaos, the organized disorganization, and the authentic atmosphere that you can probably only find in Southern Italy. Here, you get to see real Neapolitan life happening all around you.
Negative: Of course, no place is absolutely perfect. There are a few minor things that I would personally tweak, but they are purely subjective and wouldn’t stop me from booking this apartment again. I shared my feedback directly with the host, who was always open and receptive.

Positive: The apartment was very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The location is next to a main street, close to different means of transport but also in a walking distance from many attractions. The host Susy was very polite and gave many great recommendations for sights, restaurants and the city overall. She was very interactive and really cared that we have the best possible experience. For me this is the first Booking.com accommodation that I have visited which deserves a 10.

Positive: Nice, renovated, and very clean and comfortable family apartment in a "normal" part of Naples but within walking distance of key attractions in the centre of town (Spaccanapoli, etc.). We had everything we needed in the unit. Really good restaurants within walking distance, where we often ended up eating dinner rather than in the tourist heart of the city. Amazing pasticceria/cafe (Casertano) nearby that we went to every morning for coffee and incredible pastries. Host was very communicative before, throughout, and after, with tons of suggestions on places to go, see, and eat. Put everything together, and it's a good choice, great value (when excluding the parking costs).
Negative: Didn't love the parking experience but can't fault the host as lack of parking was known in advance. Local (recommended) garage (few options around) charged EUR 25 per day (or part thereof) for our compact car, which added a chunk to the cost of our stay, so something to keep in mind for those coming by car. From our three days in the neighbourhood, parking on the hectic avenue did not look like a realistic - or reassuring - option.
Summary: Great, comfortable spot walking distance to the heart of Naples.

When we arrived, they explained everything about the apartment in detail and gave us great recommendations for nearby restaurants and attractions. They were very responsive on WhatsApp, always replying quickly. The place itself was spotless, beautiful, and very comfortable. Highly recommend! It does have a laundry washing machine and laundry dryer machine. What a surprise. The public parking is available very nearby, a compact SUV, which counts as the largest, costs 35 euro. The smallest one costs 20 euro. Nice people over there as well.

Positive: The location is just perfect (easy to reach many nice areas), the apartment has all the necessary equipment. Susy (the owner) is really kind and helpful, proposing places to visit, wonderful restaurant in the neighbor and guiding us to find the most suitable transport to the desired spectacle. She was even providing us a help when we had to visit the hospital for children. When we arrived, snacks, water and coffee was waiting us. Definitely, we will choose Holiday Gold again when we come back to Napoli. :)
Negative: There was nothing we did not like.
