Summary: This was our second stay for Christmas with family. The house is perfect for everyone to have their own bedroom. The first floor bedroom and 1/2 bath are especially convenient for my mother-in-law. The large living room with the fireplace was a great place for us all to gather and exchange gifts. We did have to ask local relatives to bring extra tables and chairs because the dining room table only accommodated 6 to 8 people. Spotty, slow wifi can be frustrating, but we made do. All in all a nice place to stay to get everyone together.

Summary: A beautiful country house weekend with kids, parents, and grandparents. Activities included short drives to Lititz (Wilbur's chocolate, Sturgis pretzels) and Lancaster (Tanger outlets and Turkey Hill Experience). We enjoyed the home by sitting on the front porch and watching horse and buggys cross the covered bridge, horses and goats grazing across the street, fishing and wading in the creek, and exploring the property. Nice big kitchen to cook, grill and eat outdoors, and ping pong in the basement. Comfy beds and plenty of space to spread out.

Summary: We had a wonderful stay at Michael's property. It was a perfect spot to celebrate Christmas with our family. The Viking stove is great. We made Christmas dinner for the family which included my sisters, mother, and mother-in-law who all live locally. My husband and I grew up in the area, but are the only one's who have moved out of state. We were there during the extreme cold snap with temperatures in the single digits. The house was cozy and warm. The only exception was the upstairs bedroom that relied on a space heater. Our son said a small circulating fan on the heater would have helped keep the room warmer. There was plenty of space to eat, relax, play games, and put together a few puzzles while visiting with family. The house is charming and we appreciated the architecture, wood floors, deep window sills, and the decor. I regret that because of the weather we were not able to enjoy the wrap around porch and other outside areas. I am sure it is very relaxing in the warmer months, sitting on the porch and watching the water pass under the covered bridge just a few steps away. We watched from the windows instead. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars was because of the lack of lighting on the brick pathway leading up to the house. There appeared to be lights there but they were not working. We had to warn everyone to watch their footing as the one step was in the shadows. Michael was an excellent host. Answered all of my questions. When we arrived he made sure we knew everything necessary for our stay. He also checked in with us as the rain subsided and the temperatures dropped letting us know where we could find salt for the walkway if necessary. Everyone in our group thought the house was great, and they are hoping to stay there again. I would definitely recommend the property to anyone who wants to be away from the tourist areas, but close enough to make easy trips to the "attractions," and who appreciates the charm of an old house with all it details.

Summary: The house was spacious and perfect for what we needed. Mike was very communicative and responded quickly. Kitchen was well-equipped, and towels & linens were clean. However, the place could benefit from a deep cleaning. There were several areas (inside and outside) where we found a build-up of dust, cobwebs, and spiders/dead insects. We understand that this is an old house, but these areas seem unchecked. Some of the pans and counters in the kitchen also had food particles stuck to them. Aside from that, we did enjoy the overall stay.

Summary: Absolutely picturesque, both outside and inside. Beautiful, well kept lawn for the kids to play in and lovely creek for fishing or just sitting by. Mike is an absolutely wonderful host. Very sorry to leave and very much hope we'll have the occasion to come back in the future!

Summary: Wonderful property, attentive host. House was nicely decorated although the statue in the kitchen kept catching us off guard LOL Beds were comfortable, plenty of fans to keep the house cool and comfortable. Lots of room to move around. Enjoyed spending time on the wrap around porch. It was a nice relaxing getaway.

Summary: This property is perfect for a relaxing time away. Plenty of space indoors and outdoors. It was only three of us this trip but I could see how this would be great to meet up with more family members and have a wonderful time. The home is very nicely decorated.

Summary: We had a great time staying here. The old house was really full of character and Mike could not have been more helpful. The scenery around the house was great and it was convenient to a lot of different places. We would definitely stay here again when in town.

Summary: This property was great for our large family. We enjoyed being in the middle of Amish Country. This place is off the beaten path, but close enough to big attractions. The owner was very kind and helpful! He was also willing to share the history of the home. We really enjoyed staying there!

Summary: Everything about the location was as expected and we thoroughly enjoyed our time. Thanks Mike for showing me the classic car!
