This gorgeous 6,221 sqft home sits the perfect distance across open lawn to its private dock and 270 feet of frontage near Whitney Bay on the western side of Chautauqua Lake. This bay is known as a great fishing spot and is perfect for a relaxing kayak, canoe or stand-up-paddleboard outing and beautiful views of sunrises and sunsets. The large dock has two open 30' slips, enough room to moor your boat and/or jet-skis, and a great place to swim or fish if open water isn't your thing (fishing by permit only, poles and tackle available at the house).
Whether you're looking to enjoy quiet solitude or to host a family event, Magnolia-on-the-Lake is designed for year-round enjoyment. This unique house has 23 rooms, including eight bedrooms and six full bathrooms (one en suite). A perfect home for a multi-generational family getaway with space to gather for pool, games or a movie, as well as a number of private spaces to relax peacefully and enjoy the scenery. Indoor and outdoor games and toys for all ages are available. The large, open kitchen has been updated with marble, stainless steel, and modern Thermador appliances. A large grill is available on the porch outside the Butler Pantry. Towels and bedding are provided, with two washers and dryers on separate floors for your convenience on longer stays. Wi-Fi is available throughout the house and, although our TV's are “smart”, Chromecast is the preferred method to access your streaming services because it allows you to cast directly from your mobile device without logging in to our systems or forgetting to log out. Tour local breweries, wineries, golf courses and local restaurants close by, or take a short drive to explore nearby Jamestown, and check out the new National Comedy Center (which was built with a significant contribution from a foundation started by the originating family of this house).

Summary: We had a fabulous time visiting Magnolia on the Lake. We had 12 people (10 adults and 2 littles) for an extended family vacation. Here are our favorite things about the house. 1. The house is beautifully and tastefully decorated. The rooms are large and spacious. It's an older house and I love the way they have preserved the history while still providing the modern amenities. It was so cool reading the story of the house books and architectural displays. 2. Very well stocked - spices, pantry, s'mores stuff. We had everything we needed in the kitchen and bathrooms. Enough toilet paper, cleaning supplies, garbage bags, etc. We also loved that we could leave unopened items in the pantry and condiments in the fridge when we left. We hate having to throw stuff like that away when we check out of a rental. 3. We enjoyed the canoes/kayaks, fishing poles (we caught lots of little fish off the dock), life jackets, pool table, and children's toys. Our little ones particularly loved the play kitchen and coloring supplies. 4. We loved watching the bird feeders outside the kitchen window, picking and eating a few wild raspberries, the outdoor pond, beautiful flowers, chasing fireflies, and of course the lake was fabulous!5. Roger is so accommodating and available. He texted me back quickly when I had questions. Thank you Roger for the nice little touches! We especially enjoyed the chocolates, fresh cut flowers, coffee and tea.

Summary: Magnolia on the Lake was an absolutely perfect getaway! Everything was fantastic from check in to check out. The house is pristine in its care, the owners have thought of everything from supplies in the bathroom to utensils and kitchen needs! The property is beautiful and spacious. Summary: Our families LOVED staying at this immaculate home on beautiful Chautauqua Lake. The house had everything we could have wanted. The kitchen was a joy to cook in. The living and dining rooms were large enough to hold all of us and there were plenty of smaller porches, sunrooms, and dens to slip away for a quiet moment or to enjoy a book. The fishing was great and the kayaking was so much fun. It’s the perfect place for a large family to vacation together.

Summary: Beautiful property with elegant living conditions. All our needs where addressed…games for adults and children in the family room and outside on the lawn. Kayak, paddle board, canoe available for the lake. 2.9 acres to walk around. Impressed with all the little details that we didn’t expect (a welcome greeting on a chalk board and candy as we entered). Roger and Marie know how to treat Their guest.

Summary: This home was amazing for our annual family vacation or what we call "Bumacation". Roger is very responsive, and easy to deal with. The home is absolutley beautiful, with so many amenities for our large group. Summary: Truly Beautiful and Very Spacious Home on the Lake! Our family loved it, from the lovely decor, large bedrooms and lawn for the kids to run and convenient docks for all our watercraft! Special touches didn't go unnoticed like fresh flowers on the tables and bird feeders outside the kitchen window to add enjoyment while eating!
