Summary: We were not expecting a house with so much history. This is an active farm so workers do come and go but besides using the driveway we barely seen them. They respect the renters. It was absolutely stunning and so much to see and take in around every corner! The house was very clean and was stocked with pretty much everything you could think of. Grill accessories, marshmallows sticks for the fire, paper products, firewood, propane, etc. Kevin answered all of my questions and was super friendly. His brother Dave works on the farm and introduced himself before leaving for the day. The house is renovated in some parts but you would be surprised on how much feels like the original house built in the 1800’s. They have a welcome book with the house history we all found very interesting.

Summary: “The Farmhouse” is an exceptional place to stay for a quiet, peaceful getaway. The remodeled farmhouse has all the charm of an old farmhouse, but with all the amenities of a new home. The owners have thought of everything to make your stay wonderful and enjoyable! I would highly recommend this stay to anyone headed to the Atchison area. It’s great for families or just a restful time away! Can’t recommend it enough!
