Hillside Haven is conveniently located in Faber, VA with easy access to the Nelson 151 corridor, Charlottesville, and the quaint town of Scottsville. Enjoy the mountain view from the spacious deck or firepit (both with plenty of seating for your whole group), or head out to explore local hiking trails, breweries, or wineries. This space was recently updated and has all of the modern amenities you need for your next getaway.
Hillside Haven is located at the top of a paved, steep driveway. Please note that 4WD or AWD will be needed in the event of snow during the winter months.

LIVING ROOM - Sleeper Sofa, Smart TV (please login to your own streaming services), armchair with ottoman, chair, and entertainment stand.
KITCHEN - Fully stocked kitchen with all major appliances (including dishwasher), electric glass top range, and brand new walnut butcherblock countertops (please be kind to them!), bar with two stools, eat-in dining area set for 4, though there are 6 chairs available.
BATHROOM 1 - Full bathroom with combination shower/tub.
BEDROOM 1 (MASTER) - King bed, two nightstands with lamps, dresser, smart TV, and closet.
BATHROOM 2 (MASTER) - Full bathroom with new tiled walk-in shower.
BEDROOM 2 - Queen bed with nightstand, lamp, and closet. Note: This bedroom does have an exterior door with access to the deck.
BEDROOM 3 - 2 twin beds, dresser, nightstand, 2 lamps, and closet.
OUTSIDE - Large deck with outdoor dining furniture for 6, front porch also has seating for 2, firepit with Adirondack chairs for 6. NOTE - There is a small pond in the backyard that is about 1.5 feet deep. Please watch your small children around it!
Firewood is not always provided (many guests leave some behind), so please plan ahead if you plan to use this amenity.

Guests will have complete privacy during their time at Hilltop Haven. The owner's sibling does own the bordering property, so you may see his truck in the distance down the hill with his camper from time to time.
There is an exterior Ring camera mounted on the side of the house facing the driveway.
As noted above, AWD or 4WD may be necessary in the winter months. We do have the driveway plowed, as needed.
There is a small pond in the backyard that is about 1-2 feet in depth. Please watch your small children!

Summary: Where do I start? First of all let me say thanks to the owners of this beautiful property and home for letting us stay. If you want a clean and comfortable place and not want to be around people, Hillside Haven is the perfect place for you and your family and friends as well as your furbabies. Everything was well stocked and the beds were cozy and comfortable.

Summary: The house was beautiful, clean, updated and in the perfect location. Remote and relaxing, but close to wineries, breweries, hikes and Charlottesville. Hosts had the house completed with everything you need!

Summary: We stayed over a long weekend for a baseball tournament down the road. The cabin was well maintained and updated, and provided a cozy spot for grandparents, parents, Labrador, and young kids to relax and unwind after long days of baseball. With a minor issue, the host had maintenance out within 40 minutes who handled it. We would not hesitate to book with this host again.

Summary: Where to start... The location is perfect, wine and brewery trails within 10-30 minutes driving, Charlottesville only 30 mins away. House is beautifully situated in a private setting on a hill, with a huge yard and large fire pit to sit and enjoy the mountain view. House is immaculate, newly remodeled with fresh modern decor. Rooms nicely appointed with plenty of towels, luxury bedding, soap, lotion, shampoo and conditioner (full sizes!). Chocolates on the pillow was a nice touch! Kitchen is well stocked with all the pantry and spice essentials - even found s'mores fixings in the cabinet! Appreciated the new Brita Water Filter filled for us on arrival, and the fresh ground coffee for that early morning sunrise. They are pet friendly, so we were able to take our two small dogs with us - they loved the large garden! Oh, and I forgot, the huge screen TV in family broom for your viewing pleasure. (TVs in all tey bedrooms as well). Had a lovely, lovely weekend, will be back!
