Positive: The hall is lovely. The grounds are very nice. We stayed to attend my nieces wedding which I could not fault. It was a great day. The meal was absolutely gorgeous. The staff were friendly. We stayed in room 12 which was very comfortable and very clean.

Negative: The only negative is the shower wasn't very powerfull. The bathroom was a good size though.

Positive: Lovely house and grounds, friendly staff, nice cooked breakfast. Comfortable bed and good shower. Room had been heated ahead of arrival so very toastie (also very quiet in early March).

Negative: Room seemed quite small compared to the pictures of a deluxe room. It was comfortable and warm though so happy to stay there. Could do with a small clothes rail as no wardrobe or large drawer. Also lacks a TV, though the view from the window was nice to gaze out at.

Positive: The hotel is beautiful... and has recently undergone a whole refurbishment, so was like new. The bed was super comfy, the decor tranquil and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. They upgraded us to their honeymoon suite after knowing we'd recently got married... what an unbelievable room. Huge, elegant, with views over the gardens, a white ornate four poster bed, roll top bath, double shower and dressing room. It was stunning. And we can't thank Highfield Hall enough for their hospitality.

Negative: Everything was great, no negatives whatsoever!

Positive: As a wedding venue: Fantastic. As a hotel, it is just an expensive, well decorated B & B. Nice house and Grounds. Staff were really friendly and helpful.

Negative: Beautifully done room, but be better if they had finished it: no shelves in the Bathroom for washkit, no glasses in the bathroom. No TV in the room, nowhere to put your luggage apart from the floor. Tiny desk, and no seating, even though there was enough space. Bar is only open when there is a wedding. Breakfast was good, but is Full English (or parts of) and Continental: was hoping for maybe Salmon or Kippers for the price.

Summary: Nice Wedding Venue: otherwise is just an expensive fancy B & B.

Positive: The hotel is in lovely setting with a friendly welcome from the staff on duty We were the only guests staying so very quiet

Negative: We stayed in room 5 which over looks the bins and rubbish area (not nice ) as we were the only guests why weren’t we given a better room with a view. The bathroom was dirty and the plug was not attached to the cord or attached to the bath very disappointing. The taps handle were loose and came away from the long screw poor maintenance The sealant around bath very poor Single use plastics ( cups ) in this price range of hotel should be a no I think this hotel lacks leadership in housekeeping and also require a handy person to sort these issues Continental breakfast was poor no fruit, ham, cheese, yogurt just pastry and toast and some jam and cereal I would not use this hotel again with my experience Ps I have attached photos
