Positive: The cottage was really modern & absolutely spotless, it had everything we needed. The decor is to an extremely high standard. There was plenty of space including a lovely separate area to read & relax. The view is amazing too. It was too cold for us to use the outside facilities but it was still beautiful to look at. The property manager was great, we had a couple of questions initially & he came back to us straight away with solutions.
Negative: The only thing I would raise as an issue was the wifi, although it's not really an issue the owners can fix, as the whole island has this problem. The 4G signal was good though so we used that instead. We also did suggest to the property owner that a road safety mirror could be placed on the road opposite the cottage as unfortunately the cottage is on a fast road & the visibility isn't great when driving out of the drive.
Summary: Beautiful, modern , spotless cottage. We would 100% book again.

Positive: We loved it! The house is beautiful and even more spacious than we expected. It was modern, clean, comfortable and stylish. We had everything we needed, and we were delighted with the generous extra welcome treats too. The location is ideal - only 10 minutes from the ferry. The views across the water are stunning. The weather was kind to us and so we sat out on the deck a lot - enjoying the sunrise in the morning, eating lunch, and even stargazing! We were there to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary, and it was perfect in every way. We hope to return again soon.
Negative: There wasn't anything we didn't like. The only small thing to mention is that the Wifi is slow - however that wasn't a problem for us as the mobile 4G signal was really good.

Positive: Absolutely amazing stay. The house was spotless and cozy. We loved the views and the fireplace! I usually get back pain when I sleep flat (on any bed!) and this bed was SO comfortable that it was the best sleep I have ever had on a vacation. Location is great - easy to access lots of trails, downtown Tarbert and Scalpay. We will be back!

Positive: Spectacular location overlooking the islands in the bay entry to Tarbert harbour, with a sun terrace and easy access by car to the rest of Harris and Scalpay. The house feels comfortable, spacious, even swanky, and we really enjoyed our evenings in next to the enormous windows over the decking. Margaret who lives locally was responsive and helpful in the run-up, answering my questions promptly. The kitchen has good quality facilities, crockery and dishwasher. There is a washer and a tumble dryer in the separate utility room, so you don't waste time on chores. The beds are comfortable and the house is tremendously peaceful.
Negative: The only improvements would be to add a few extra kitchen supplies: a few more saucepans, tall drinking glasses and perhaps a larger quantity of consumables such as dishwasher tabs, and toilet rolls; we bought extras of these. We found the wifi signal was quite weak but were able to use our phone data instead.
