Positive: I stayed at Hidden Paraíso near White Beach Puerto Galera from 14.02 to 21.02.2026 for a Valentine’s vacation with my girlfriend, and it was amazing. The location is perfect. The owner Florian is super friendly and has great insider knowledge about the Philippines. He shared secret local spots and beautiful hidden waterfalls, and you feel welcome right away. Contact him before arrival — he helps arrange cheap and easy transport. Highly recommended!

Positive: Florian was very helpful in making sure my stay was comfortable, he helped me get a tuktuk wherever I was going, went with me for the zipline, and brought me along to hang out with some of his local friends. The property has a cat and a dog who are both very friendly. It’s a short walk to the beach. The property is very private.

Negative: Since electricity costs on the island are high, they would turn off the electricity if I forgot to turn off lights or the aircon.

Positive: Ming Ming was so adorable, my wife and I can't get enough of her. Also there's this warm welcoming vibe you wouldn't get from anywhere. As for the food, we highly recommend chicken basil and the seafood pasta, those two were so good.

Negative: There was a small crack in between the wall where we stayed, and the bedding seems to be smaller than the bed frame which sometimes would make you feel like falling off haha... But overall, it's good if you are planning for a quick getaway

Positive: Hidden Paraiso stands out among the surrounding concrete buildings. It offers only a few cottage rooms and allows a very peaceful stay, yet so close to the tourist coastal stretch. The rooms are very simple and clean. The cozy restaurant offers an amazing selection of food, ranging from Filipino, Thai, and Western, some of which is personally supervised by Florian. If you have work to do while on vacation, bring your computer. Most of all, Florian was there to guide us on Puerto Galera options and arrange reliable service providers.

Positive: The main reason why you should book this property is the owner. Florian is a great guy who will invite you to join him and his friends for trips or beers. The place is circa 200 meters from the beach which is perfect because it’s really calm and quite there. And the in-house restaurant is really good and cheap. Florian is a pro chef/butcher and it shows.

Negative: The cottages are quite basic and minimally furnished. But you don’t go Mindoro to stay inside anyway so who cares.

Summary: Great stay with an awesome owner.

Positive: Nice and silent location in the middle of white beach. Very near to the beach but far enough from the noise there 😉 Super friendly stuff. Good restaurant with personal touch. Owner is german who gave us good informations about tips and trips in Puerto Galera.
