Positive: Everything exceeded our expectations! This is one of the nicest places we have ever stayed. Vanja could not have done more to accommodate us - we had to reschedule our dates as we were trying to climb Triglav during a good weather period and Vanja bent over backwards to assist us. The breakfast is out of this world with every little detail considered and takeaway boxes to bring extras as there was so much nice food! The morning we were leaving for Triglav, Vanja insisted on giving us a cooked breakfast even though it was a lot earlier than the breakfast start time - this was so helpful especially before a long day of tough hiking... Apart from that, the facilities on site are second to none - between the sauna and hot tub, honesty bar, complementary teas and coffees/ice-creams, SUP boards, kayaks and bikes all there for guests to take and use - they really have thought of everything. Lastly, the location down at the more chilled side of the lake is perfect. We will definitely be back!

Positive: Fantastic location surrounded by backyard oasis, mountain stream and close to lake Bohinj. Delightful hostess and family, very helpful. Fabulous breakfast including smoothies and a great variety of choices with daily surprises and variations.

Negative: The rooms are not well isolated, so we did hear our neighbors. The mattresses are quite soft. It would be nice to have a separate bathroom and shower, but they are built right into the room. As a result, there is not much space or privacy. Tasteful design and a nice balcony mitigate these faults somewhat.

Positive: Wow! What a wonderful and quiet place on the far end of Lake Bohinj. Vanja is a kind soul with a beautiful property. The breakfast was the best I have had in Europe!! Clean and spacious room. I would 💯 stay here again. Clear parking and entry video came the day before our stay to make finding our room key and room very easy. Lovely views from our terrace. I wish we would have booked another night..

Positive: A nice hostel on a superb location. Very friendely hosts. Great breakfast that will last you a day! From this location you can go swimming, biking or hiking, all very convenient. The use of mountainbikes, cayaks and SUPs is wonderful, as well as the use of the spa.

Negative: This has been one of our most expensive stays we had in Slovenia. On the basis that this is more a basic hostel than a hotel or luxury apartment, the price feels a bit high. There are numerous plus sides though so this might just be the place for you if you are looking for a great breakfast, convenient access to the lake and free use of mountainbikes, SUPs and cayaks, which we certainly appreciated. The area in front of the house could be cleaned up (concrete platform where tourist busses park) but this is probably something that the municipality should take on. Mostly you have wonderful views of the mountains and green areas.

Positive: Vanja and Blaz are some of the most welcoming and attentive hosts we have ever met . The breakfasts were outstanding and the communal area was probably the best ever… always stocked with special treats. Stay here if you want to be spoilt !!
