Positive: An old house has its own special atmosphere and not often available. There is a wood burning stove which we discovered too late to use. The house is in the middle of a small town with lots of character, and it is no exaggeration to say this is the most attractive town in the area. We had a friendly greeting on arrival at the property. The price was very reasonable for the region.

Negative: We found the heating insufficient (March). In the bathroom there was no heating or window blinds for privacy. We received a flood of information before arrival which we didn’t need. Rather than eccentric furniture gathering dust such as sewing machine, huge bean bag and ancient exercise machine, a cupboard for clothes would have been preferred.

Positive: Typical old house in a very nice, old small town Warm, friendly and welcoming host All necessities are present Many restaurants at walking distance, good dor diner and breakfast (open at 6 o’clock!)

Negative: Had a small fight to get the radiator working but finally got it on.
