Positive: We loved the easy access to the main shopping district and the shower was brilliant. All the staff in the hotel were exceptionally friendly and helpful.

Negative: There was very limited space to hang clothes and store luggage. The room was very dusty, and the floor was not properly cleaned throughout our stay. It was a suprise to realise an extra charge was required to use the pool.

Positive: We received a free room upgrade, which at first seemed like a pleasant surprise. However, the upgraded room had no view, and this was personally very disappointing for me. We traveled a very long way to Okinawa, and while the room itself was spacious, it felt unfortunate not to have any view at all. I would have preferred to keep the smaller room with a view, but since the hotel was fully booked, a change was no longer possible. These things can happen, and while it wasn’t a complete catastrophe, it did leave us a little disappointed. On the positive side, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was spotlessly clean, and the beds were comfortable.

Negative: I To begin with, I would like to point out that we are from Switzerland, where cleanliness and service standards are extremely high. For that reason, it was very difficult for us to understand how a 5-star hotel/resort could operate without daily room cleaning. In Switzerland, such a property would never qualify as 5 stars. After almost 24 hours of travel, we were in great need of rest and comfort, so it felt very strange that there was no daily housekeeping service. Although we did receive fresh bath and hand towels each day, the beds were not made. I had to make the beds myself every day, which is something I do not expect when booking a 5-star hotel. On one occasion, we were even handed new trash bags and asked to change the garbage ourselves. This is something I would expect at an Airbnb, but not in a luxury hotel. Another drawback was the television. Dear Hewitt Hotel, there were only Japanese channels available, with no option to connect a phone via Bluetooth or to use any streaming services such as Netflix. Overall, the level of luxury fell short of what we would expect from a 5-star resort. Another important point is that there was no safe in the room. This is something we found difficult, as we were traveling with many valuables – from diamond jewelry to a significant amount of cash. My wedding ring in particular is a 24-carat family heirloom that has been passed down through four generations. I never wear it abroad, but it must always stay with me. While we were able to leave our cash and passports at the reception, I could not leave the ring there, as I was too anxious to part with it. It would be a great improvement if the hotel provided in-room safes for guests. However, I would like to make it very clear that at no time did I feel there was any risk of theft within the hotel.

Negative: Having to pay for the pool dissapointed me a lot as I chose this hotel based on the fact that it had the infinity pool. Didnt understand why they charged an additional cost to use it per day.
