Summary: Great stay but the mattresses in our room were absolutely awful and need to be replaced. Very disappointed that the hotel was recently refreshed and we were not able to sleep comfortably

Summary: The hotel was nice, everything was clean and the rooftop sauna and pool were a great addition to the evening. The hotel was clean and modern, with a sort of boho vibe, and the staff were friendly! With so much to do in walking distance I’ll 100% stay here again for a staycation!

Summary: I stay at the Hewing about once a week, and usually love it, and even prefer it over the four seasons, but lately things seem to be going sideways. Though I usually get a room in the same area on the 3rd floor, they gave me a room on the 2nd floor that was super far away from the elevator and really hard to find. The hostess at Tulibee was incredibly rude. The restaurant wasn’t close to full for breakfast, but she acted as if it was an inconvenience to seat me because I didn’t have a reservation, which I have never had to have before. The sauna didn’t have any towels or water in the morning, and the dirty towels from the night before were sitting in the hallway in a huge garbage bag. The cold water bucket was not attached for use after the sauna despite it being almost 80 degrees that day. This is my third recent stay where the sauna area was not well tended to. The last time I was there, it wasn’t even turned on in the morning, and the hot tub was closed for repairs with no signs or notice indicating it was closed. I have stayed here as a place of serenity during a very stressful divorce process, and the last few visits have been disappointing, and less peaceful. I really hope that things get dialed back in soon!

Summary: I discovered this place almost by accident a few years ago when I needed to travel to the Minneapolis area on business. Right away, I knew I'd found my Minneapolis Hotel. It has character, it is well run, and the staff are wonderful. I give especially high marks to the on-site restaurant, which is delightful enough to warrant a visit even if you aren't staying at the hotel. I think it's a winner.
